Kinetic furniture

This chair design attempts to provide comfort to the user through accommodation of movement and flex.  All of the pieces move and are connected so that the chair will not provide support for an unbalanced seating posture, but will travel and rotate extensively with the user.

The chair was sculpted in foam which was then sliced and used for templates on scrap plywood.  It is hollow and is held together with stainless steel rods, springs and cables.
