Four Seasons Hotel and Residences San Francisco This 40- story high rise on Market Street was designed by Gary Handel & Associates with Del Campo & Maru Architects. The project included 280 guest rooms, 140 luxury residences, a sports club with pool and playing courts, restaurants, conference facilities and ballrooms. The building was completed in September 2001.
My role on this project during design was to coordinate the tower structure, elevators, stairs, parking garage, kitchens, laundry, and support spaces with the mechanical, electrical and structural engineers. At the same time I was fully responsible for the detailing of the hotel interior spaces, with intricate wood, limestone and granite surfaces, to the standards of the Four Seasons and higher.
During construction I served as the on-site architect for all structural, MEP and core building execution. I provided technical supervision of building methods in all areas of the project and integrated hotel operations throughout 1,000,000 sf of high quality interior spaces.
